Ok, maybe it’s more than that. I was just talking with my SO and she says that she “assumes” they will take another lesson from her. Thus all her words and actions in general during the lesson suggest to the guest that they will be taking another lesson.

Hey Rick, I love this post. I think about this all the time.

Whether right or wrong, I equate intellectualism with masturbation. Not that there is anything wrong with critical thinking and figuring things out but way to often it seems to turn into an ego thing.

Learning implicitly, especially in the steep and deep, is the way to go. Instinct rules!

So my vote is; Yes . . . when you learn something implicitly it becomes instinct.

It’s going to be one, big phat winter! I can feel it!

Depending upon the division, several part-time instructors can and do argue that getting to L3 is impossible due to politics and not abilities.

Rick, thanks for the lessons! I’m still practicing what you taught me and was able to go with my family up to the Continental Divide for some spectacular pictures yesterday. I skiied Skywalker, Sleepy Hollow and Glade to get down – not very pretty but I made it. I’ll take your advice and hope to see you next year for more lessons.
